I am a little confused about the various LBC and Grendel chambers and AR bolts. So what is the bolt face depth on your AR bolt? .124" or .136"? I believe BlackHole Weaponry did both at the customer’s request for a while. Also is it throated at .295 as by LBC or at .300 as named in the SAAMI spec for a Grendel chamber? Was this barrel built before Columbia River Arms took over BlackHole?

Ya it is confusing. This bolt and headspace would be the type 1 which is .124, the stronger bolt. The Original Grendel is now designated as a type 2. According to the barrel it would be throated LBC which is .295. Les Baer Custom‘s who is responsible for the Grendel clone made those changes to improve the round. As far as Pre Columbia I’m not sure. It looks like a bhw barrel and don’t know if Columbia still engraves the barrel exactly like they use too? Edit: looking at Combias website it doesn’t appear to have the bhw on the barrel so I’d assume it’s pre Columbia.
