NEVER - that is NEVER - in the US will there be accurate reporting/data to document numbers of cases and death rates for this virus. Bad virus - bad classification - fraud - etc. NEVER.

A few deaths locally.
Nobody in decent shape died from it.
All were older and or had major health issues.

Of course our liberal paper after things settled down ran a story on the increase of suicides and overdoses being a problem, due to lockdown and related stress.

If someone was circling the drain already, they didn’t die from covid-19. They just checked out early. If one is on hospice or in a nursing home (not assisted living) they probably aren’t long for it at all. Our culture keeps folks alive because we can, not because we should. Many of the elderly that die from pneumonia or other cardiopulmonary diseases do so because of immobility or other underlying issues. Covid among them.

COV19 reporting has a great deal of misinformation and political propaganda built in. I won’t go through the numbers per say except to say that the numbers they report indicate a substantial drop in deaths per case. As a nation we started at about 4%, went to 3.4%, then 3.2%, toady we are seeing 2.8% case to death rate. We know these are inflated because many cases were false positives and the deaths were not related to COV19. What is very political is the category for public view should be Active Cases; Recovered Cases and Deaths. Not providing Recovered Cases presents a greater fear for public consumption. CDC now shows data for all ages combined with a 95% recovery rate. 99% for all ages below 70 years of age. Making it political is always useful when feeding the idiots.

Close, but not quite. The whole narrative is fact-free and science-free. the data are literally made up, based upon rigged testing and imagination. There is not a single case of "Covid" death where the dead person was tested for viral load from any specific virus, and not a single dead person who had their virus profile tested against any other dead person's viral profile. There is zero evidence that "Covid-19" exists as a separate and perpetuating viral organism.

What you are witnessing is a test of the gullibility and programmability of humans in current society. Most are failing that test, as was forecast.

It didn't explode the first time.

All the death numbers are bullschit.

All the positive case numbers are bullshit too. My 14 year old grand daughter made the HS varsity volleyball team so I don't plan on missing any of her games. I got a call from my daughter last night that tonight's game in Georgetown, Texas was cancelled because of a spike in COVID-19 cases. I've tried to explain to that the tests are very inaccurate and if one person in a family gets a positive test everybody in the family is counted as a case the so case numbers are meaningless. She went on tell me that I didn't have go to this Friday's game in Liberty Hill, Texas because they don't wear masks in Liberty Hill and she is afraid I might catch the COVID-19. I just laughed and told her I'm not afraid of "cases" only actual sick people. I'm afraid she's been listening to her crazy Mom (that I divorced 36 years ago).

"Excess deaths" may be largely attributable to C.V. response; i.e. disruptions in routine medical care, psychological stress, etc. and the "dry tinder" effect - that is a large number of weak individuals who survived the relatively mild '17, '18 and '19 flu seasons.

They count only positive cases around here, family or not. You had better check your information.

My PA went to the Bronx during the worst, a military guy, he said it was some of
the more disturbing things he has seen.

True triage. With limited resources and overwhelming sick, they were treating anyone
in need of a respirator as a DNR. That lasted for about two weeks.
I know 3 who had it, know of several more.
1 died.

It's a nasty bug.
Really nasty for some.

Thing is, it's a political football.
Thrown back and forth.

Lies for and against. Takes some serious thought to get close to the truth.

And those with a "Variety" of health problems needed to stay home, not the whole damn country! There are a lot of older people who succumb to the flu every year, should we shut the country down every flu season?

Those with problems need to use their heads and avoid certain things and practice good hygiene while the rest of the country can move ahead and keep running. There are lots of ways this could have been handled.

There was one reason and only one reason that the country was shut down and anyone who doesn't recognize it is a fool.

Trump believed the Virus to be 5x more deadly then the most strenuous flu... in February.

Luckily it wasn't 10x more deadly..

Because he did a [bleep] show job and 200.000 Americans dead as a result with a nearly sub 1% death rate.

He could have told people to take it a bit more serious and at least 100.000 Americans would be alive today.
And the US wouldn't have had to shut down the economy.

"Trump believed the Virus to be 5x more deadly then the most strenuous flu... in February."

On Feb 3 Fauci said on live TV that the COVID-19 death rate would be about the same as the regular flu which is about .1% (1 in 1000). On Feb 28 Fauci said on live TV that the COVID-19 death rate was going to be 10 times higher about 1% (1 in 100) and the whole world panicked. Trump's only mistake was believing longtime Democrat Fauci was/is competent. I believe Fauci that knew exactly what he was doing when he made that announcement. He is at the end of his career and he saw the COVID-19 pandemic it as his last chance to be in the spotlight.
