Darryle,
The leupold 2.5x ultralight has a smaller ocular lense diameter than most scopes. That's what I use on the 358. I've shot a lot of moose with the 358. For many years always put away moose meat that the lowest power setting on variable scopes. Within the range limitations of the 358, nobody should need much more than 3 power. I don't understand what's to be gained, overscoping a 358 with excessive magnification and scope weight.
The 2.5 x leupold is especially nice on the blr as well, gives yah more space under ocular lenses, to get your thumb on the hammer.
Thanks Mainer in AK!
Well, it was out of stock everywhere, but I hit the notify me button and low and behold, Midway got one yesterday, so I snagged it.
I really like the features, eye relief, weight and ocular diameter, and the price since I had some coupons and free shipping code. It should be perfect for the main place I want to hunt with this rifle.
