Just this morning I was asked to sell a bunch of guns, mostly handguns, for a long-time Alaskan losing the fight with dementia. A large part are like new in boxes, unfired, according to the family. They are deciding which ones they want to keep and which to sell. Only ones I have seen are a Ruger Security Six, a Single Six, and a Sako Vixen in 338WM. All three are as new.

So far there are about 40 in the "sell" box with about 100 more to look through. There are a lot of older guns (they say), but that is the only info so far. I expect to get them this week some time.

Where do you plan to list them - here, gunbroker, other...?

Any details on the Security Six such as finish and barrel length?

Let's get an auction going here on all 140 guns at the same time.

My plan is to list them here first, no auctions. I will avoid Gunbroker until I have to go there. Supposedly there are multiple variations of some handguns... not going to list details until the gun is in hand. Having done a few bigger estates it is too easy to confuse things.

It will depend on how many and when I get them. Probably going to list in groups at whatever speed I can get to them.

One thing for sure, if you are going to sell guns, now is a good time for that, Supply and demand has become a major issue. Depends on what's available that they want to sell.

Sitka Deer: Thank you (as one CampFirer to another!) for giving "us" a chance at these firearms first.
I appreciate that.
I will be eagerly waiting for your listings.
Thanks again.

No problem, especially the handguns, shipping in flat rate boxes, FFL to FFL is cheap and easy.

Might want to double check that model in that caliber.....................Vixen's are very small, the smallest made; all 338's were on long actions (L61-R, AIII, AV) Finnbear models.

That would be an extremely rare bird to have a 338 in a Vixen.

You are right, thanks for that! Was only going on their description. I saw it for less than a minute. I should be getting it later today. It is in outstanding condition.

I might suggest with that many guns to list maybe a dozen at a time. If the list is too long and duplicates of model numbers it will only be mass confusion for you and buyers trying to tell which ones are sold, etc
