Does anyone know of a red dot sight that is made for a grooved receiver? Have a new Henry lever 22 LR and can't locate a red dot for it. Found some spacers to convert from a weaver style to the grooved receiver but they won't center the red dot. The newer red dot's would work great on rim fire because of their size and the only scopes are hugh variables which look like a sewer pipe sitting on a small RF.

Don't see why a 3/8 dovetail to Weaver adapter wouldn't work?

I’ve seen some cheaper ones like Tasco with 3/8” dovetail adapters. Another option is a tube-type that uses regular 1” rimfire rings, Tasco Pro Point is one, that can be mounted just like a scope. The ProPoints are actually pretty good sights if you don’t subject them to too much recoil. Ultradot makes good ones too, at a price.
Burris makes a bunch of adapters for the Fastfire sights. Might have a 3/8 one. Also, check on Amazon. They have scads of red dots at all kinds of prices.

I have your two options: First and easiest is https://www.diproductsinc.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1034044&CAT=9854Second, look under your rear site just before it gets to the receiver, if there are two holes drilled and tapped there, they are Marlin spacing. You can either use a weaver S466 steel base but your sight will overhang a little, or I took a Marlin rail and cut it then put black appliance paint on the cut part. Works like a dream. When I took the rear factory sight off to put a skinner dovetail peep, I saw the holes I’m actually getting rid of this rig after using the pump with red dot, it blows the lever version away. You never know these things until you try. https://www.henryusa.com/rifles/pump-action-octagon-rifle/
