You haven't been getting all the news over there.........Trump gets blamed for everything, EVERYTHING. Nancy Pelosi's nuts fall off, it's trumps fault, Chucky Schumer can't find his nuts in Nancy's purse, it's Trumps fault.

Trump could find a cure for cancer and the left would bitch that he's trying to bankrupt the medical system.

Pay attention.

I realize that and most people here can see the continual Trump bashing on CNN. I watch Fox and sometimes CNN but not often. I have a friend here in NZ who reckons he prays for Trump every day - no kidding.

Here's another data point: NZ didn't gain its "independence" from England until 1986, and is still a member of the Commonwealth. That alone feels pretty tethered.

NZ BTW is a favored getaway destination for Silicon Valley and Wall Street types when the SHTF.

That said on an individual level I like Kiwis and get along great with them. But they are different, for sure.

Before you cast that stone you would do well to remember that you are in for the political fight of your lives and without Mr Trump to vote for you would be as screwed as the rest...and as for not being subjects, I suggest you take that argument to the democrats as it seems they are damnably certain that you are.

You have a population of around 330 million and Biden and Trump are the two best that you can come with? The American people are largely decent, good hard working, honest people that deserve better than both of them.

You're an idiot if you think Trump handled the China virus well. I get just as much info here as you do and probably more. I have a good friend who's a rabid Trumpster who lives in Virginia and we've gone over this plenty of times. You mean the Campfire isn't balanced?............................I'm flabbergasted.

Going back to the original premise, here is the best example yet of the two voting bases. Watch the first minute and you will see Trump' and Biden's latest rallies. Judge for yourself who has the more motiviated voter base. No enthusiasm + no win.

If you doubt the trend, see the part about attendance. Since Labor Day, so a little over a month ago, over 240,000 have attended a Trump rally. 84 attended a Biden rally. Remember, Trump had 2 weeks off with Covid.

People can say what they want on the phone to some pollster. I get multiple calls per evening from pollsters. I don't answer the phone, if I do I decline to take the poll.

When it comes to actually casting a ballot, who do you think is more likely to really vote. Somebody that goes to a rally, or somebody that sits at home on the sofa?

I sure hope you're right Hatari.

For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

It’s true that Biden has less than a dozen people at his rallies, but there is more to it then just lack of enthusiasm.

Biden held a rally in Duluth Mn a few weeks ago. It was held at the Carpenters Union Hall.

I know of a couple Union carpenters that wanted to attend, they were told no.

The Biden team only allowed 9 guests and only a select few from the local media were allowed.

I can only conclude that Biden team is keeping his rallies tiny so as to limit his ability to f*ck up in front if real people.
Live f*ck-ups are a lot harder to hide and edit.

His so called rallies are designed to be tiny.

Steve, i do enjoy your posts, but you're the eternal pessimist. I feel sometimes that if it were raining $100.00 bills from the sky, your next post would be "This sux. We're going to have to pay taxes on this." smile smile

I just stated the truth
His rally he in MN was limited by his team, I can’t imagine this was the only one. Knowing pertinent facts about why his rallies are tiny , should be part of this discussion and added your Opinion as to why there are nobody attending his rallies.

Yes, you are correct, Biden rallies are designed to be small.

They want to look "concerned about Covid"

It is totally embarrassing to have 300 people in a 5,000 seat venue.

And to your point, big rally means more people hear him confused and incoherent.

I feel good about the fact that Trump's base is energized. They are energized enough to hold counter rallies spontaneously wherever Biden shows up.

Trump people turned out along the route from the airport in Minneapolis to the Biden rally to wave signs and chant "4 more years!". They were enthusiastic and happy. They weren't burning the town and looting. They looked to be the working man/family type. We see that at other Biden events.

There was never this type of voter GOP voter energy for GWB, OR McCain, OR Romney, or GHWB. Not since Reagan has the GOP voter base been this energized.

If we listen to the MSM, Biden is a shoe-in just like Hillary was. If you read the "polls", Trump will lose in a landslide. When you look at the people, you see an entirely different story, just like in 2016.

That's all cool. I don't want you to stroke out before the Trump victory party in Nov. Enjoy the moment. Third SC Justice to be confirmed soon.

What If There Were No Polls?

I have a piece here, and I meant to run this one by the president but I didn’t get a chance. It’s at the website Americangreatness.com. It’s a piece by Adam Mill. And it’s entitled, “Why Doesn’t it Feel Like Biden is Winning?” And I found it’s an excellent piece led by an excellent question. We have every day, folks, we have brand-new polls which show it getting even worse for President Trump, so bad that he may as well not even show up. That’s how badly they are portraying how bad it is for Trump in these polls.

Like the latest one I saw, Charlie Cook of the now famous Cook Report, thinks the Democrats could win 15 more seats in the House, that the Democrats are gonna win the Senate, that Trump is now down by 20 points somewhere, some such thing. So this guy’s question is, if all of that is true, why doesn’t it feel like Biden is winning? Now, here try this pull quote, folks. This is a brilliant question.

If we had no polls, if we had no betting markets, if we had no professional pontificators, if we had no professional pundits out there, particularly on the left, “what outcome would we predict from the things that we can observe with our own eyes and ears,” in the presidential race? Excellent question. If there were no polls, who would you think is winning? If there were no betting markets, which is just another form of a poll, who would you think is winning? If there were no professional pundits out there amplifying what the polls are saying, who would you think is winning? And on what basis? Another pull quote.

As we know, polls are simply a reflection of the questions asked, and how they are asked.

"Do you enjoy Christmas?"

VS

"The myth of Santa Claus involves an oppressed minorities of elves isolated from the rest of the world performing slave labor for a boss that takes credit for their labors. Should we end Christmas and that narrative of of social and pphysical oppression?"

Next day, the NYT headlines: "Poll shows 88% of Americans want to end Christmas."

Let'stake a poll with a simple question. Recent from Gallup:

"Are you better off than you were 4 years ago?"

They ask that every election. Simple and to the point.

56% of Americans polled said "yes!". That is the highest number ever. People vote with their wallets.

I just heard yesterday, that this same poll now has Biden in the lead. The commentator said that only three polls in 2016 predicted a Trump win and in the last two weeks, they are now pointing to a Biden win. I sure as heck hope not.

Hudge,
Mind if I ask where you heard that? Looking online just now at both Helmut Norpoth and the Primary Model poll both still indicate a Trump landslide victory.

Goes back to the concept of "Shy Republicans". Who wants to tell the world they will vote for Trump when they will be subject to anger ans retribution? People are just not telling the pollsters.

I will go back to who is really undecided at this point AND will still vote? Nobody is on the fence about Trump. There aren'tthat many votes that have changed since the convention. You either are happy with Trump over the past 4 years or you are not. Anybody who hasn't made up their mind or might be wavering is in the 40% of eligable people that don't vote.

There is no way polls can honestly swing 4-6-8 points in a week at this stage for the Presidential election. Some Rep in an District that suddenly gets advertising going, yeah, but President? No way!

Trying to keep GOP voters home and to keep teh Dem base engaged.

I think there's a slow, quiet boil out there. I've got a long haul trucker guy who was a political operative prior, and a good one, an honest operative -- which is why he ended up trucking.

But in 2016, he kept calling, "Hey, I'm in Armpit, South Nowhere and there's Trump signs EVERYWHERE. He's gonna win!" He's seeing the same, in fact, it's thicker than last time.

I think there is a silent, cranky chunk out there, millions of people who wear their hats, filter their calls, mute the commercials, who made up their minds long ago and will hand deliver their ballots. I hope I'm right, because if not, the idea of America has been forgotten, and if so, America is done.
