This is first time that I got to shoot the Barrett Fieldcraft 6.5 CM Special Edition since I bought it. Going to work up some loads for it but this is factory Hornady 6.5 eld x 143. Shot at 7 o'clock was first shot to dial it in. The center area was 5 shots at 100 yards. Fairly respectable, think I may run it in some benchrest shoots in Light Sporter Class next spring. Have a 243 Fieldcraft I haven't shot yet either. Hope it's close to that. [Linked Image]

I'd certainly be pleased with that from any sporter-weight factory rifle, shooting factory ammo.

I have the 243, and it shoots just as good. I'm loading 103 ELD-BT with 42 gr 4831 sc to 2.795 in Hornady brass with cci primers .
I took a smallish buck last year with a neck shot @ 75 yards and he was DRT.

It's par for the course with them. If you want to tinker with a rifle you'll think they are no fun.....

Ya. That picture is a good end-goal for load development in a factory rifle.

Curious what makes it a collector’s rifle. Because it was a limited run?
It’s obviously a hell of a shooter, but in my experience, all of them have been.
