Rick: I just picked up a Sako L 46 in 222 and would like to know if you have anything inletted for the L46. According to Frank de Haas this action weighs 32 oz. It has a beautiful 2# trigger. Does anyone out there know where I can find the date it was made? I believe it is arouond 1952. The serial number is 114XX.

I picked up a Remington ADL in .270 Win. today. Now I have the action and all the parts needed to go into that gray / black web mountian stock Rick painted for me. I just might bed it and shoot it while I decide which caliber Pac-Nor to order. I have to admit I feel better having a .270 in the gun rack again. It just might have to remain a .270.

<br>Now I have to go shopping for scopes. Where are the best prices on Leupold's? I need three or four. Looking for 6X18, 4X 12, and 4.5 X 14.

Check your PMs.

Send the response to RickBin, as I am on my wife's computer and sent you the PM from her account mistakenly.

Sako Classic, Sako Hunter, or Sako Varmint? For a LH 691 with what barrel channel?

Appreciate it.

Need nothing but time and prayers to heal up.

Feeling much better, but still have not much stamina.

All in all, glad it's today and not yesterday, just about every day the last few weeks. grin

Rick, thanks for the quick reply. I bought just the bare action so I am looking at my options and trying to decide what barrel and stock to go with on this build. My gunsmith has a Shilen #4 contour that I am considering.

I believe it is a Classic but neither me or the seller knew for certain.

OK, well I need to know whether you want a Sako Classic pattern, Sako Hunter pattern, or Sako Varmint pattern.

Check this link and tell me which you prefer:

Rick, I like the Varmint. Is the color as shown the only way I can get it outside of having you paint it?

Also, do you have a thread around here some where showing the pain jobs you've done in the past? Thanks!
