The Ford 7.3 had not thought of a Ford but maybe I better rethink this. I'd trade my 6.7 diesel for one. It wasn't an option in 2017 when I bought my pickup though. I bought one of the new 7.3's this spring, first gas pickup I've owned in 27 yrs. So far I'm completely happy with it, lots of low end torque. Heaviest I've weighed is a little over 20K pulling one of my tractors. Average running around everyday is 13.5 mpg, the 2013 Powerstroke it replaced only averaged 16 mpg. I'm only getting 13.5-14 mpg with my Powerstroke.

If anyone needs a SUPER clean ‘07 one ton I know where to find one. It’s a conversion done by 2L and is so nice I’d buy it if I had a need. My taxidermist has it and it’s got roughly 100K in it. Honestly looks new. Just throwing it out there in case someone is interested.

Keeping up with DEF is a non-issue IMO, or at least it has been for me. I live in ND, no issue so far with my DEF system at all. No tank heater troubles. My truck sits outside some or is parked in my attached non-heated garage FWIW. Spoke too soon, threw a code Sat AM, going in for either a line heater or a tank heater (or possibly both I guess) today.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

IIRC, it wasnt a true 3/4 ton, kind of a souped up 1/2 ton.
