I've got a model seven predator that I'm considering sending to JES for a .358 re-bore. I would like to strip the camo finish off the gun and have a solid color finish. I want something like a olive drab or military utilitarian look when it's done. are there other choices besides cerakote that may even be tougher? Also, should I have all the gunsmith work done first? My guess is for sure but want to hear from the pros. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Have it rebored then have it bead blasted and parkerized. Definitely finish all your modifications before refinishing.

Just purchase a Seven or 673 in 350 Rem Mag.
Sell the Seven Predator as is w/o bastardizing it.
re-boring Bbls is not the same as a tire retread or sipe job.

I have three of them. They all shoot quite well. All minute of deer. So what is wrong with rebores Dans40X? Be Well, RZ.
