Colonoscopy scheduled for tomorrow. Can't have anything but clear liquids today. If colas are clear fluid, why isn't beer? The fire's thoughts?

Yellow or orange Gatorade is fine. Green tea. As is good old water. Nothing red or purple. That 24-hour fast is the hardest part for me.

I haven't had to do this since... Thursday last week... And since I didn't drink red or purple beer, I definitely included that in my regimen. Doc didn't complain a bit. The beer was a damned sight tastier than the polyethylene glycol. Go forth, and drink well. You're gonna need those B-vitamins, after all. Hell, monks live on beer during lent. They invented bock beer for the purpose. FC

I knew the fire wouldn't disappoint. This is my second one I have ever had. First one was last December at the age of 67. Found cancer in upper colon. Had surgery. Surgeon said he got it all. Tests confirmed it had not spread anywhere at that time. Gentlemen, I truly believed I was bullet proof for many years. Now I know better. I don't like to have a colonoscopy. Don't want to die of colon cancer because I am stupid.

Had to do it a few weeks ago. I had a beer the night before. They just don't want you dehydrated and alcohol does that. Just drink a glass of water with it.
