we saw that last night on the voice and my wife said she wanted one. I said I wonder what the range was and she looked at me like I was stupid. I then explained to her it was an electric pickup. $112,000 is a little steep and only a 350 mile range which I know is pretty decent but when you have to travel 500 to see the daughter.

The Hummer EV is being launched in an Edition 1 trim which costs $112,595. That’s not pocket change, but the truck comes fully loaded and features a white exterior as well as a Lunar Horizon interior with bronze accents. Man, there is a ton o' chit to break on that thing.

They said “estimated” range 350 miles. I wonder at what speed and all level ground. I kinda like the looks, but have zero interest in paying $112G for limited range and a lot of complexity that is un needed and adds maintenance. Also wonder what the life of the batteries is and replacement cost. It’s a free country, buy it if you like, I’ll pass.

I'm glad to see American companies try and get ahead of the EV game.
I was surprised and impressed to see that Ewan McGregor and his buddy were using Harley's to do their latest documentary. They said Harley was the only bike that could come close to what they needed.

Tesla’s are 8 year max life, 100.00 per KWh so 7 grand for 70KWh battery replacement. Go from there.

112,000 isn’t a deterrent. The nicer Tesla’s hit that mark and around here you can’t blink without seeing 3 of them. People will be all over another “performance” option in the EV field

Lots of interesting gadgetry that will be integrated into future models but this is the truck/SUV version of the Vette...a novelty vehicle that doesn’t add much to he bottom line besides a platform to test out technology.

I'm not interested in electric until you can charge them as fast as I can fill up with gas. Being able to carry a couple gas cans is more than convenient in the back country. These aren't intended for hunting like most of us do. They're for rich people who'd hire an outfitter if they hunt at all. These things will likely never see a dirt road.
