I have posted a WTB a illuminated scope for a truck gun. I am getting a few responses but there are so many to choose from. What are your thoughts on a good one to buy??? Rifle is a Remington 600 in a 222 18” barrel Shots will not be more than 150 yards. Most likely no more than 50 A light scope as the rifle is light, 30 tube or 1”? I will hunt coyotes and foxes $300 to $400 budget I want illuminated so I can see better and early dawn and late dusk. I am in my 60’s and my eyes are not as good as they use to be so I want a retical that I can see well . No fine cross hairs Recommendations??

I just picked up a Demo B version of one of these and think it would be a great truck gun scope. https://www.samplelist.com/swfa-ss-hd-1-6x24-tactical-30mm-riflescope-demo-c-2.html?___SID=UJohn

That's hard to beat if he can spend that much, otherwise the standard (non-HD) 1-4x is good for a little less money & a little less mag. MM

Those Burris 1-6 scopes Doug was selling for $259 would check a lot of those boxes. Really nice glass, great reticle, many dimming settings.
Eye relied wasn’t stellar, but that wouldn’t matter on a .222

Trijicon accupoint 3-9. Good glass, modest size/weight, 1” tube, and NO BATTERIES.
Golldammed motion detector lights. A guy can’t even piss off his porch in peace any more.

The scoped truck gun concept seems off to me if the temps are cold at night condensation will form on the lenses as the truck warms up. Unless you live somewhere it's always warm. Shotguns or rifles with open sights or peeps are my choice. Bring your scoped rifle in for the night. Less rusting too.

FWIW my truck gun is a Rem 700 in .223...I put a Hawke Endurance 3x9 on it with illum reticle as Ive had good luck with those scopes . I believe I got it for $149 and it isn't hard to find one that price. Another choice is the SIG Whiskey 3x9 with illum reticle for $199 from Natchez, amongst other places.I use the SIG on my .222 and have done a lot of night predator hunting with it..

Do you have MIL models available but not on the site?
