About everyday on the INSP channel.
I've had different appreciation levels of the show in my life from prime time to various years of re-runs.
I find myself enjoying them as much now as ever. Fester, not as Fester, & Slim Pickens in an episode playing as I type. Seems Ken Kurtis seen several times before he became a regular.
If you don't take it too serious, the show is fun. And, beats most of what's on TV now.
Just thinkin.

Fester? Did you mean Festus as played by Ken Curtis?

One of my favorite shows ever. They are a pretty good escape from the current misery we find ourselves in.

Ive been watching it lately. Used to watch it with my grandfather at his house as we didnt have a TV when I was a kid. That was around 62-65.
I was also watching the Ed Sullivan show with him the night The Beatles were first broadcast in the US. He hated them!

Yes, he had a heck of a voice when he sang. But such did fit the character of Festus.

If I remember correctly Ken Curtis was John Ford's son-in-law.

As opposed to the New Gunsmoke Shows.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Fester, I knew that sounded odd when I typed it. I'll blame it on midnight.

What is Leanwolf's real name? You can PM the answer. Thanks
I've been watching a bunch of GS episodes in the past year or so. Started with episode 1, "Matt Get's it" and am now on season 7. The 30 minute shows up through season 6 are the best to me. Of course, I watched them back in the day too. I always preferred Festus to Chester until re-watching a lot of shows. He could be a bad ass. Killed several people. Matt had a short fuse then too. He was not afraid to slap the bad boys around or put a bullet into them. Usually 2 or 3 killings per episode.
Loved Doc but holy crap, he was always wiping his mouth with one or both hands. Sometimes right after delivering a baby or digging out a bullet. Not very sanitary!
Kitty was very attractive. She kept hinting that she would be agreeable to marriage if Matt would say the magic words. Never happened.
I think it was the number one show until it went to hour episodes in season 7.
