I enjoy a bit of golf. I’m not much on keeping score and play for the occasional great shot. If I do keep score, a good round I’ll break 100. Would average maybe high 90’s -105. My putting is suspect at best. Lol.
Got to go to the US Open when it was out here a few years back. Pretty cool experience.

rem,
Lessons wouldn't hurt but I just watched The Legend of Bagger Vance a couple of times and called it good.
Tin Cup has some pointers as well.

I highly suggest a 30 minute three-session lesson with the PGA/USGA teaching pro of your choice. It is very important to establish a correct swing early in your game development. It is worth every penny to get the tips for correct set up and swing plane. Putting alignment and short game footwork/swing can be one of the lessons. Course management will come with time and you learning your abilities.

I have back issues and need surgery so I am pretty worn out after 18 holes but I've done 36 before. Usually drunk by the end though.
Don't be a khgunt. I'll make a serious effort to not be so khgunty in the future.

Fun thread!
I get a rare opportunity to play the (relatively) new TPC Colorado course next week - a client of ours is taking me for a round out of appreciation. The public is generally not allowed in the course so I am pretty pumped. I am too cheap to pay the $25,000 initiation fee and monthly truck payment to be a member. The tee box is a mile or so from my front door though, so I crash the putting greens weekly.
I am also working the Korn Ferry tour and LPGA events next year out there just for fun. Volunteering for PGA events kicks ass, if you are a real golf fan.
And, Patrick Reed is in 6th place currently in this weeks PGA event, if he goes top 10 I'll have a nice ~$2k hit.
A PGA groupee. That does not surprise me. Paul, Perhaps next time you visit we could play a round. I will ask that you not wear your bicycle helmet. I'd love too, but my shoulder is far too shot for golf. It's a fun game and a damn shame I can't play it in retirement. The way I drive a cart, I need a full face motorcycle helmet.

I'm not into "sports gambling" though, there's nothing there I have any control over. And too many things, even with "analytics" and such, that can go wrong. The proverbial "bad bounce" of the puck off the glass stanchion and there goes a sure win. Scheidt lke that.
Well, as you "are not into sports gambling" it is humorous that you have an opinion on it. And your reply makes it clear you really don't even understand the science of it. Reply when you understand the importance of the numbers 3 and 7 in NFL spreads, or 41 in O/U bets. Plenty of folks like me are math idiots and sports fans who are very profitable in sports betting... Even if you have no clue.' I have a long time client who has become wealthy as a pro gambler in Las Vegas. He believes that legalized gambling is a tax on the poor and stupid. He only gambles at cards. poker, gin and bridge.and says that anyone who can't recall 100 numbers on demand shouldn't play for money. He also says that most smart pros never bet on anything w/ a referee. Sports books make a fortune on suckers who think that can beat the spread. mike r

Big Sky Montana?
Is that a good place to golf?
Been quite a while, but I remember it as a pretty good course. Too much money there to have a crappy one.

The bow drawing motion is one of the most difficult for me. I had a total reconstruction that was installed wrong. They tore half of it out, so now I have a titanium ball that rests on a bone rather than a socket.

Puck luck, and unlucky bounce, a poor decision by a ref are nothing to bet on? who'd a thunk it?
