Report I heard form Dick Morris. Since March, more than 1 million people have left California, most having incomes in excess of $100k/year.

That is a yuge portion of the state and local tax base. They are reported to be settling in TX, AZ, and NV in large numbers.

Will they remember why they left? Not everybody in Cali is Leftist. Could they be the a majority of the 35% of the state's conservatives getting the hell out Dodge?

Hate to think they are ALL Dems polluting other states. Good news, their kids will become Texans!

They leave, and try to change their new home to what they left, then bitch when they get it.

I think a bunch moved here, but most leave by spring. We already had a week of snow and below zero temps. Those stupid bastids have no clue what's in store.

If they are liberals, they will not be welcome here. And I will be sure to let them know that.

Check Illinois that is where we need our fence, and most of the Californicators settle in Nashville...

Might be able to rehabilitate people from downstate Illinois. Hunt, fish, farm, go to church. Problem is they've been Democrat for 5 generations. Land of Lincoln. Go figure?

As long as it's the Midland / Odessa area we're good. It's um, nice out there virtually any time of year. Or so I hear.

We have the same problem with New York and Connecticut. The Lehigh Valley is basically the new southern suburb of NYC. And no they aren't conservatives...

You cannot be talking about southern, IL. My Dad was from there and I'm telling you, they are not liberal. They are the farthest thing from that. It is basically Northern Kentucky. They are just outnumbered by the fools in Chicago.

I am fully aware it is de rigueur on this forum to bash Californians but a friendly reminder; 39 million Californians voted for Trump in 2016.

That is more people than many of your entire home states population.

My wife and I are one of those million who left CA for the greener (or whiter, if you prefer...I love snow and cold weather) pastures of Montana. Granted, we started our move about 3 years ago, but we finally made the move permanent this spring.

I totally understand why some are not happy to see Californians moving in and I share those concerns. We left CA because it had become an oppressive, tyrannical and unAmerican state. The last thing we want is for our new home to go down that same path and we vote accordingly in MT. I'm very worried as I see so many CA plates in town, but my theory was that at least for Bozeman, the influx of folks from CA, CO, WA and OR are more like us than the liberals who seem to dominate this city.

So I took a ride over to where all the new development is, west of downtown, to see if I could glean anything from yard signs.

In my part of town, there are three houses with Trump/Daines/Gianforte/Rosendale yard signs...mine, the neighbor across the street and a guy a few blocks over. Everyone else has straight (D) ticket signs. My suspicion was that the majority of newcomers from out of state would be far less liberal, and perhaps even conservative, due to the fact that they are escaping liberalism, riots, BLM crap, high taxes, over-regulation, etc.. I was very happy to see that (R) candidate signs predominated the new developments.

Whether this entirely unscientific study reflects reality is to be seen, but I am hopeful.

I think he's referring to the same phenomenon that plagues many West Virginia voters. They work the coal mines, own guns, hunt, fish, many attend church, and generally want left alone... and vote Democrat. Why? Usually, because... "the Democrat's for the working man! Pappy and Daddy voted Democrat, and by golly that's good enough for me!" It's some sort of weird generational thing. That and many of the unions STILL push for Democrat votes. Don't ask me why.

You and your wife are the American born version of eastern block immigrants who escaped to America and appreciate freedom more so than a lot of Americans because they experienced not having it for so long. I moved to MT. a little over 30 years ago from a screaming liberal ski town in CO. to escape the socialist progressive guv. and attitude. When I joined a local gun club the first year here I had some "fun" talks with 2nd/3rd/4th gen. etc. "native" members trying to explain how important it was to fight for what they had. Took them decades to finally figure it out.

Either way your welcome at my house...so GFY.

Yeah, south Wilson is enemy territory for sure.

Although I have noticed that most of the houses with Dem candidates signs won't even fly a Biden..

That was a dang good guess as to which street I live on. Guilty as charged. It was a bargain, though, cause it's right next to a frat house and no one wanted a frat as neighbors. I happen to like them. First, they are Trump supporters. Second, they play good music and don't throw too many empties over our fence. Third, they bring sorority girls around. Nothing like drunk sorority girls to beautify a neighborhood.

Don't be too sure that California refugees won't vote Republican.

My wife's family was hard Democrats ever since the Civil War. My wife started voting for Republian presidents in 1980. After the Kavnaugh hearings, she changed her registration to Republican.

Her brother supported every Democrat with cash for decades, ran for the state assembly as a Democrat, and even was a campaign manager for a Democrat attorney general candidate. He just voted for Trump.

A close friend, now retired, and a former Democratic candidate for Congress, just voted for Trump.

So it's possible to "just walk away."

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

Democrats would burn this country to the ground, if they could rule over the ashes.
