I have been eyeballing these CZ 527's for a while now, mainly the American. I wouldn't mind having one in a .223, 22 Hornet, or a .243 Win. Anyone have any experience with one? As far as the pictures go the Walnut stock and the blueing looks spot on, but it dont mean anything if they dont shoot well.

Had one for years in .223 really liked it. Shot well. It was at its best after 15 or so rounds after cleaning.

I have 527's in 7.62x39, 6.5 Grendel, .223 and .22 Hornet. Love them all. Shoot the Hornet most and it drives tacks. Good luck finding one in .243 you need to step up the the 557 to find anything with a .470" bolt face.

I will probably start with the .223 and see how I get along with it first. Does the 527 have a set trigger?

Mine had the single set trigger. I adjusted it light enough that there was no set just a nice single stage trigger.

I have a 223 for sale in the classifieds right now (grendel as well). Nice walnut stock with rosewood accents.

My 7.62x39 carbine is one of my favorite rifles. Its the one that always comes to the range or the woods.... Perfect brush gun for hogs or just plinking. Shoots the cheap stuff extremely well... and the set trigger is fantastic.

Agree with everything above on the carbine in x39.

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

I have an American in 223 with the 1:12 twist that shoots anything 55 grain lights out. They are extremely well made rifles.

Happy as all get out with my 204 Ruger, CZ 527. Accurate, roughly 1/2 MOA with my handloads. Carries nicely. Seems rather well built. Feels more like a big game rifle than a little varminter, but with a beautifully made action.

Wood is pretty plain, but good, straight-grain walnut. Has a set trigger.

As I understand it, the .243 Win isn't an option in the 527 model.

I’ve got the Carbine in 7.62x39 with a peep sight. It is very accurate and shoots all the cheap, steel cased stuff to the same point of aim at 100 yards. Fit and finish is nice. Wood and blueing is nice. Set trigger is nice. I’m considering an American in 6.5 Grendel. I hope they add the 6ARC to the lineup.

I’ve had them in 17 hornet, 17 rem, 22hornet, 221, and 223. All have been excellent shooters. I still have the 221 and use it often. They are a lot of rifle for the money. And the set trigger is a really nice feature.

You won’t get a 243 tho. Gotta bump up to a 550/557.

I have 527's in 19 Badger, 221 Fireball & 6.8 SPC. All left handed and all are very accurate.

I own two 527's, one in .22 Hornet, the other is a .223. The Hornet is a wood stocked American model, the .223 is an M1 model, no longer made by CZ.
Both are extremely accurate rifles, both capable of sub-.5" MOA accuracy with the right ammo. The Hornet really likes the Hornady 45 SP, the 223 favors the Fiocchi ammo with the 40 gr. VMax bullet. Here's my .22 Hornet, used on a coyote hunt a couple of weeks ago.
Well-made, accurate rifles- highly recommend them!!

I've got one in 221 Fireball, excellent little rifle. Have only shot factory ammo in it so far and it's very accurate.

Always wanted one of these! Didn't have the cash when they were available. Love all my other 527's!

I have a 7.62x39 Carbine, and it is extremely accurate. Moreover, the CRF function is dead-nuts positive. Mine is definitely a good little rifle and a keeper.

Love a 527. I have an old 22 hornet lux model and it is a fun little plinker. Also have the carbine in 762 and it is a fun thumper. Both always go the range with me

Side not - reloading 22 hornet can be a pain with the brass
