As I was fiddle-farting with the turrets setting them to zero after dialing in the rifle, I found a small o-ring on the floor. Not having one of these apart before, my first thought was it came out of the groove near the top of the brass stud in the center of the turret. In checking the other turret, there was no o-ring in that groove either and I wasn't able to find the second o-ring anywhere. I just finished wading through an old thread and found this pic on one of Big Stick's posts that seems to confirm the o-ring location. Question I have is this normal for these o-rings to pull off when removing the turrets to set zero? Are they readily available at a decent hardware store or do they need to come from SWFA? Any tips on working with these things to prevent future loss of o-rings would be much appreciated...

I know this pic is not a 3-9x42, but the brass stud/configuration looks very similar:

Small o-ring goes on top of the turret, under the head of the single screw on top of the turret.

That makes more sense and would explain how I ended up losing them - thank you.
