Roughly 10% greater case capacity in the rpm vs the ai so maybe circuitous route to 7wsm?

I could be talked into a .35 on the RPM case. Should be between the Whelen and the Norma Mag performance wise.

As a 284 win lover when the 6.5 RPM was first announced I immediately thought of making a 284 win long. The more I ponder it the less likely I am inclined to bother.
IMO the only reason would be if you had a long action with a non magnum bolt face. Bolts can be replaced or opened up. Custom reamer and dies required. Brass pricey and only available from Weatherby. Case capacity of approximately 82 grains it is very similar to other easily available cartridges like the 7 WSM and 7 Rem mag.
If having something different appeals then go for it.
