Not a saint here. Just a mean and nasty old sinner that God chose to enlighten as to His mercy and supremacy. Hoping that acknowledging that supremacy and the gift of His Son causes Him to bestow mercy on one who often falls far short of that quality toward others.
He quietly spoke one sentence to me in all my life, and that has been a library in its myriad applications since. That’s how I know it was Him. I knew it at the time, but the hard proof is in its continued relevance as time goes on. That and the fact that it brought me from a dark place in my spiritual life into the light of understanding.
I was a sinner, then I got saved by GRACE......now I am a Saint and have been for quite a while. So are the rest of you that are IN CHRIST.....whether you realize it or not.
Its not about conduct its about a Covenant with Messiah Jesus and faith in his blood. True Biblical Sainthood is right standing with the LORD aka "righteousness" received by faith as a gift not earned by good works. Matter of fact its not something possible to earn.....its way to costly. The only thing in this Universe that could buy it is the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God". You don't get any better than the righteousness of God. He becomes Yahovah Tsidkenu.......The LORD our Righteousness.
That my friends is the Gospel. Man has perverted and religioned it to death for the last 2000 years but we in these last days are getting hold of it.....more and more everyday.

None of us are worthy of anything but condemnation to hell. Nor can any of us achieve God's mark of perfection. We fall far short.
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:...For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.". Romans 3:10, 23
If you want to be a saint, it must be God's way. The Catholic way is through decrees by men after a person dies having done many good deeds and usually involves two verified miracles, if memory serves me right. HOWEVER, the Bible has only ONE requirement. If you want to be a saint, this is the only way according to God's Word.
After you make this decision, then I will provide a Bible study on every use of the word "saint" in the New Testament for the asking. It will shed plenty of light on this term that most all of us have been taught improperly, whether Catholic or Protestant. This should help. Let me know. 🍵🙂👍
I used to hear a saying growing up.
"I ain't no saint BUT...... I'm not THAT bad..." Or something to that effect. It comes from a misunderstanding of the term " saint" AND the term "saved." The term saint is used 98 times in the Bible, so it's meaning is very clear. The way to know what it means is not to rely on your lost pastors and priests that probably haven't even read the Bible from cover to cover. You must understand salvation....what it means to be saved from hell. Then the saint part can be understood. Watch the video I posted hear above as many times as necessary to get the grand prize gift worth more than any money. After that we can talk sainthood. Any questions on salvation can be addressed here or PM. Happy to answer.
In it, saints are mentioned frequently and it becomes apparent that they are simply members of Christ's church. And if the word "church" is contentious for you, just simplify it to mean those who take the name of Christ upon themselves and strive to live worthy of that name. In Galatians, it says "The Saints are children of God by faith - All who are of the faith and baptized into Christ".
Saints are not perfect - the gospels of the New Testament are full of the apostles reminding them to love and forgive each other, to live by the gospel standards, to care for the poor and deny temptations of the flesh, to honor their elders to be of one mind and one spirit.
In my mind, saints are those who TRY to be true Christians, regardless of their imperfections.
All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing -- Edmund Burke
The Bible says that you’re either a saint or a lost sinner. The term is more about position (in Christ) rather than behavior.
Of course, behavior over time usually reveals ones true position.
Very well said.
Maybe it is just me but the Fire seems to be a friendlier place this last week. The posts I have been in have had a kindly good vibe- like this one (so far). Hope I am right and hope it continues to be what Rick intended.

What we've learned from history is that we haven't learned from it.
This is ALL you have to do to be a saint as described in the Bible. The NT uses the word saint over 5 dozen times to apply to all believers. Sainthood is bequeathed by Jesus, not by any church.
Ro 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
