Bravo Flave you have skills.... smile

Yes, Flave is the wonderful, loving glue that holds this place together.

JFC.

And, golf isn't boring. (especially if you play it and BET ON IT)

The best part of golf is drinking beer and racing around in the cart... been there done that... wink

And one doesn't even have to pay the greens fees if one owns their own EZGo and has a field to drive around in.

I have my own ez go, and a go fast big boy side x side.... woohoo , don't need no stinkin clubs! wink

Around here, big old grassy places get cut and baled, and in the spring folks get to shoot Belding's ground squirrels. Be a damn shame if a person wanted to play golf on them.

Farmer might figure out he could charge chumps to run around on his field and try to get the ball into the gopher hole. Which is likely how the silly game was started by some drunken Scots with bent handle walking sticks and a sheep turd or somesuch

Geno,
It would be much more appropriate to hunt the beldings from the golf cart with a large Yeti full of beer in your locale

When I'm done reading it, I'm going to send you a pretty funny little book written by a local about the "gopher wars" over in the Surprise Valley! It's a hoot.

Not sure I'd want to eat one of them elk. No telling what kind of chemicals they've ingested eating that golf course grass.

You are mistaken - I specifically said, "Golf transcends trolls and liberals!"

I was speaking of specifically of "Flave".

What a great course.

Maybe they can get some Hereford's out there too.

You have good clubs, the lie angle and shafts would be the next question. Just because they are good clubs doesn't mean they are the best for you, but probably not holding you back much at bogey golf.

If you play 3-4 times per week; hit, chip, and putt on the off days; take a lesson every 2-3 weeks; and get the right set of clubs... in 1.5 - 2 years you will be as good as you are going to get.
You will win tons of money while the handicap is dropping. After that you, as noted by Uncle Alps, most look for ways to keep it a little higher.
Athleticism is one factor, hand eye (not the same) is another, so is mental compatibility with the game. Just about everyone can get to 10-15 without much problem, once one gets to 0-5 or lower...it is all about what you were born with and how much effort you put in.

my $.02

The problems with lessons is I feel like I know everything.

If you had any sense it'd be three days from your front door.

You live in a schit hole.

Be sure you only use biodegradable gun powder and copper bullets.
