Anyone have a favorite Barnes 110 grain load for a 7 TCU?

Can a Barnes bullet be pushed fast enough in a 7mm TCU to mushroom?

I use R7 under the 110 Speer. You could probably work something up with that.
I only get about 2625 from my 20” barreled 700 with 110s so you may have expansion issues with the Barnes depending on distance.

I used 139 grain Hornady when I had a TCU. But I sold that in about 1986.
I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

In the Single Shot Pistol community the 7MM TCU and 120 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip are a match made in heaven.

Running the numbers, you are probably good to 175-200 yards, but expansion will be limited at that range, though. I would feel much better with a cup and core bullet in that cartridge. I am a big fan of the 120 gr BT at those speeds.

Barnes would be the last bullet I would shoot at game with in a 7 TCU
120g sierra is good to go, nosler ballistic tip, old nosler solid base lead tip

My go-to hunting load for my 7TCU rifle is 23.2 grains of H4198 and a 120 grain Nosler BT. It is a killer combo.
