Cerakote worth doing or not? If so.....Looking for suggestions on colors for barrel. Im thinking tungsten or titanium for barrel. Dont want it to bling but want a little color difference between the gray stock and barrel.

If your stock is grey, not sure you want Tungsten or Titanium, as they're both just another grey. This is tungsten.
If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ...

Stainless Cerakote is bright, Titanium next dark, then Tungsten..
I picked up some Titanium but haven’t sprayed it on a project just yet.
Midnight blue = blueing color... I’ve done 3 of those already and they look really good. Midnight Bronze = just a bit darker than the Browning wicked wings bronze color... I like it better than burnt bronze because it looks bright to me.

I'd do midnight blue, myself, if its going in a grey stock. OP, if you want grey on grey, try sniper's grey.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

thanks guys. I heard they can blend cerakote titanium and graphite black? I'll look up midnight blue as well. Thanks My KS Mtn rifle is that color. I had Karl Feldkamp mix up those two colors and I like it. In pictures it more looks black, but when side my side to true black it more looks like black with a titanium hue to it?? Or gray black maybe?? Whatever you call it he did a great job on it.

I had my cerakote guy mix a custom blend for me and it has become one of his most popular grays now. I’ve had it applied to 4 rifles and always get compliments on the color. That’s my .338 edge in the pictures. https://www.facebook.com/1690378581025924/posts/2277957678934675/?d=n

That looks like the color I had custom blended on my last build..80% tungsten 20% graphite black.

Did he tell you what colors and mix it is ? I bought some graphite black to mix in with other colors, as well as to use for battle worn, but haven’t run them yet. That looks pretty good.

MA,
I asked him what the color mix was and he said “Hammer Gray”... Too funny.
I’m almost sure I know what two colors he used to make that color... I like how it looks so I’ll give those a try.
Too funny... His video’s are pretty funny too.

Yep, "proprietary information" is the answer I received. Let's crack this code if Mallard Addict doesn't remember the two colors used.
My guess is sniper's grey and cobalt. What say you, Spotshooter, other campfire cerakote aficionados?

I think it was Titanium or Tungsten and Graphite black or Armor Black.. I have some titanium & graphite black ..
I love proprietary mix’s made off of standard colors that have a specific texture that narrows it down to a couple combinations..
The guy would be better off to ask that guys “keep his color name” and copywrite it so to speak .. he isn’t going to cover the market so marketing is the way to go.... I’d be happy to give him the accolades of coming up with it, but playing hide and seek ... Gives a bigger shop the chance to steal it and brand it with thier tag vs. his.

Agreed Spotshooter! Let us know if you give it a try I would love to see the outcome.
Aviator - that's what was recalled when I asked the above poster who owned the rifle in the pictures with possibly a little white.

Do you have a pic of that Aviator to compare? Not problem if you don't.
