Other than using VihtaVuori powder, I can't find load data for the 139 gr Scenar. I have H4350 that I want to load with.
So if I keep velocity under 2750 FPS I should be OK pressure wise?
Factory Hornady 143gr ELD X is giving me 2655 fps out of a 26" barrel.
Guessing 42.0 grains of H4350 may be on the warm side?
Here is a chart I found on the interweb that lists starting and maxiumum charges.
Bullet 139 gr Lapua, Scenar C.O.L. 2.717 inch
Bullet 9,0 g / 139 gr Lapua, Scenar C.O.L. 69,0 mm / 2.717 inch Powder Starting load Maximum load Type Weight Velocity Weight Velocity [g] [grs] [m/s][fps] [g] [grs] [m/s] [fps] N540 2,00 30.9 713 2339 2,38 36.7 817 2680 N150 1,90 29.3 690 2264 2,30 35.5 793 2602 N550 2,20 34.0 735 2411 2,57 39.7 841 2759 N160 2,14 33.0 700 2297 2,73 42.1 833 2733
Sorry about the formatting!

Sorry about that. I was expecting folks to read my mind. Yep, 6.5 Creedmoor.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Scenars tend to result in pressures on the lower end--as do a lot of boattailed lead-cored bullets, due to shorter bearing surface.

Whatever the question may be to anything in life, evidently 6.5 Creedmoor is the answer.

Ha! Maybe not everything, but a lot of things. It’s a very easy round to load for, IME. Very forgiving. And on appropriate critters, a lethal harvester of freezer fare. Dave Emary and Steve Hornady knocked this one out of the park, IMO. Growing popularity and for a reason. I like mine. DF
