I haven't watched it but Texas Roadhouse actually has really good steaks. I'm watching it but had to comment. They are spot on so far.

I watched this a week or so ago. Not really surprised at the No.1 in a reasonable price category, & wife confirmed as it's here favorite steak next to mine.

I remember Steak & Ale, Bonanza, and Ponderosa. Steak & Ale was just ‘okay’ in my opinion. There was really nothing good about Ponderosa or Bonanza to me. I did have some good steaks at Outback in the early 90’s, but not since then. We went to Saltgrass when they first opened in the part of Texas where we were, and all of us left hungry. I guess Texas Roadhouse is acceptable, all things considered. Never been to a really expensive steakhouse though. But I can cook a better steak than any steak I’ve ever eaten in a restaurant.

My personal experience for the top 3 for a bone-in Rib Eye:
1. The Capital Grille - Houston, Westheimer (expensive but worth it) 2. Longhorn Steakhouse (very affordable and delicious steak) 3. Texas Roadhouse (very affordable, delicious steak and a great onion blossom)

I love the food, but the crowds can be strange.

National chain steak locally, best ones are Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse.
