have a lvsf stock that i really like the weight and stiffness of.would like to reshape the forend has anyone done this? would i need to cover outer surface with fiber glas cloth to maintain stiffness?

The LVSF is exactly the same as the Ti stock except for the beavertail forend, try to get one of them and save the aggravation. Might be opening a can of worms trying to modify the LVSF.

lvsf is what i have. have modified fiberglas stocks before. looking for imformation. not alternitives

I do that kind of thing all the time - once you start, however it will involve a thorough refinish/repaint of the whole stock - it's pretty much 'bondo' work and it's basically the same shape as B&C's classic short action, almost the same as the "TI" stock. PM me and I'll send you a pic of one I converted to a shortened classic stock for a young shooter, plus share some 'how to' info with you.
