Just saw my first, in the flesh, Kifaru rifle. Its a .270 take down that weighs an astoundingly light 3.5 lbs. without scope. The syling might take a little getting used to for a dyed in the wool winchester 70 man, but looks like it would be a great old mans backpack gun. Anyone ever own or shoot one of these? Thanks.

Not only is it a take-down, it is also a switch-barrel. The stock style/powergrip really sucks up recoil. And you don't have to be old......Don

Ain't it COOL??? It's really very nice to see something that is the result of individual thinking. I've not shot one, but the Kifaru really feels great and I just know it would be a favorite.

You guys just wait till the second generation is out......Not much longer I am told. Lots of improvements and caliber choices will be available, from .17 to .411, and switchbolts for diff case heads all on the same action. I'm droolin' here. Don
