I did a quick look on the CDC website before work. I could find yearly stats for deaths in America for previous years but could not find the stats for this year to date.

I remember seeing a comparison that indicated that we are on pace to have the same number of deaths (practically) as experienced the last few years.

Anyone have a link that shows us the real numbers? My gut is that they are not going to show a significant change from the last few years. That's pretty amazing considering that we are living through the latest round of Bubonic plague.
