About 11½ months ago, I saw Hallmark Christmas movies summed up as 30 movies, 1 plot, 40 different actors. Seems about right.
4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.

Wife is watching one right now. Lifetime channel. Love the fake snowflakes. Ya, you can always tell the fake snow. It blows up/left/right everywhere but down! Then when it lands it sets there and does nothing. In real cold weather people are sniffling and snot drops are hanging on their nose and everybody is slipping ans sticking their hands somewhere to get warm.

It would be very easy to write a Hallmark Christmas movie. Quaint little town in the North country is dying out, and a rich New Yorker is going to buy it and turn it into a resort for rich folks. Girl who runs runs the cookie store (something that 50% of Hallmark Christmas movies have) is refusing to sell, and is counting on the extra money from Christmas cookie sales to help her keep her store open. Rich New Yorker sends his top man down there to seal the deal. He meets girl in cookie shop, eats a cookie, proclaims it as the best cookie he's ever had. Then he falls for girl, and her for him. She then finds out he is the one that has come to buy the town, and she gets all hurt, cries, and tells him off. Meanwhile, he calls rich New York boss, tells him off, negotiates deal for big New York store to buy all the Christmas cookies the cookie shop can bake, and saves the town. The girl finds out at the towns annual Christmas tree lighting, and realizes she loves guy and guy loves her. They look in each others eyes, it starts snowing (it always does snow at this point in any Hallmark Christmas movie). they kiss, and the town is saved. Dang James , that short story made me shed a few tears . Again ..

Imparts wisdom to ignorant white people and operates the only christmas tree sale lot in small vermont town Used to be that the only Negro in a Hallmark movie would be a person of influence or position......police chief, mayor, or doctor. Now, they're often one of the love interests of the story. Saw one that was on the other day in which the main characters were an interracial couple. I told my wife that if I catch her watching that one, I'll make her sit and watch The Searchers with me10 times in a row.

Same damned script for 478 movies, all they do is change the names and locations (sometimes). I know, because my wife watches everydamned one of them. Same casts, even. TFF!!! Me and Slumlord were talking about these movies today. He is a huuuuuuuuge fan of em too. Subjugated to em like you it seems. LOL!!! I don't watch 'em. I bought the wife her own TV, and put it in another room. I'll watch "anyfuggin'thing else" and she watches her crap TV, She gets pissed when I tell her the plot after watching 4 seconds of "her show", It REALLY pisses her off when I'm right.

One of the dumbest of the Hallmark Christmas movies was the one with a setting in Memphis, and it was about Graceland and Elvis........which was not the dumb part, by the way. The dumb part was all the snow at Christmas..................when, in fact, did Memphis ever have a white Christmas with a foot of snow........lol.
