I know that Ruger started making their own CF barrels some years ago and they shoot well. Did similar happen with their rimfire barrels?

Yes, as far as I know, their rimfire tubes are made on the same hammer forging equipment as the centerfire barrels.

EdM: On the subject of Ruger "rimfire barrels of some years ago" I have this to add.
I bought one of the first Ruger 77/17 V/T's in 17 HMR to come into Montana back when this cartridge was brand new, back in early 2,003.
This Rifle shot so well that I was stunned at first!
My first day at the range with my new Ruger 17 HMR I sighted the Rifle in and then fired two groups (5 shots each at 100 yards) that measured .831" and .721" respectively!
Back then groups that small at 100 yards with ANY rimfire were RARE and impressive!
Later that spring on a calmer wind day with the aforementioned Rifle I fired THE smallest group at 100 yards I had ever fired with a rimfire Rifle - that group (5 shots at 100 yards) measured .502"!
I had a whole new respect for Ruger rimfire Rifles from then on.
I have a bunch of Ruger Rimfire bolt action Rifles now including heavy barrel Ruger Americans in 17 HMR and 22 L.R. along with Ruger 77/22's in all weather and Varmint configurations.
I am very happy with the accuracy I get from these other Rugers as well.
All my current crop of Ruger bolt action rimfire Rifles are from 2,003 or newer if that helps you in assessing things.
I am NOT saying Ruger rimfire bolt action Rifles are THE most accurate out there - I am saying they have impressed me and are a very good value IMO/IME.
