Son and I took my almost 90 year old mom, my 4 1/2 year old grand-daughter, wife and daughter-in-law target practicing today. Mom shot her 32 S&W pistol and her Winchester 62A 22 that Papa bought her back in the 40's. 4 year old shot 22 Chipmunk rifle. Popping balloons at 25 yds.

Sounds like a really great day. My parents are quite a bit younger but anytime at the range with mom and dad is good stuff. My sons first rifle was a chipmunk and we did the balloon thing too. That and old pumpkins, apples, you name it anything that made a reaction when shot.

I filled a laundry detergent plastic jug with water and when my grand daughter shot it the cap flew about 20' up in the air. She thought that was so cool.
