Can someone with a Bergara B14 tell me what the hinged floorplate is made from? Metal, aluminum, polymer?
Are you able to provide a weight for the unit?
If you died tomorrow, what would you have done today ...

I've read that it's aluminum on the Ridge/Timber/Woodsman. But don't have one.

I'm pretty sure its aluminum. I tried a magnet on a B-14 Ridge rifle that I own.
I can touch the floor plate with a strong magnet out on the latch end with no magnetic attraction. However, it I place the strong magnet over the flat area of the floor plate, it is attracted. However, I think its actually the strong magnet picking up the magazine spring through the floor plate material.
I'm going with aluminum.
It's official. I missed the selfie deadline so I'm Maser's sock puppet because rene and the Polish half of the fubar twins have decided that I am.

All the ones I’ve looked at appeared to be pot metal like a Remington. Whatever it is it’s not nice.
They are good rifles through and seem to shoot well
