Ten years ago I got the shingles vaccination. That shot was 50 percent effective. Not that great but a lot better than nothing.

I decided to get the new vaccine the other day. I found out I could get it at the local grocery store, Ingles. No prescription needed, no appointment.
I went down and got the shot, it cost $176. This new vaccine is 94 percent effective.
I have to go back in January and get the follow up shot.

That was wise. If you ask anyone who has suffered with shingles, they'd tell you they'd have eagerly paid several times that to be cured.

I did not get a shot today and the cost ,well you would not believe how much i saved.

By the way i don't have the shingles.

I am still waiting to die from the plague.

Be prepared for a sore arm for a few days.

No kidding! Mine felt like someone whopped my arm with a ball peen hammer.

My arm wasn't sore but the following day I would have sworn I was coming down with something, a co-worker got one at the same time and had a similar result.

You don't have shingles now, but if you ever get it, you'll wish you had gotten the shots. Shingles is a Mofo. I never want to deal with that ever again. Had my shots about 2 years ago and didn't cost me a dime. Covered under my insurance with no side effects.

when you get a shingles shot ,dont you have to go back 6 months later and get a second shot?

Yes, you get the second shot 2 to 6 months after the first shot.

Was your ass already too sore to take it in the butt?

My wife got shingles over a year ago, the rash went away after about four weeks but the pain is still with her. Some days the pain is intense most days it's not awful, but it's always there. Apparently, nerves have been damaged permanently. The doctors say there's nothing more they can do. You'd better believe I got my shots.

Was the shot architectural or three tab?

I would opt for Certainteed Shangles, Lifetime/50year, Algae Resistant, coastal rating, 110mph

I got the shot(double) too right after the covid came out. No lines at the pharmacy.

All things being equal, one in three Americans will get shingles. Your chances head towards zero percent if you get this shot.

If your one-in-three chance comes up bad for you, the joke will be on you.

I have had shingles. I strongly advise every body get the shot. Y'All gonna have to trust me on this, you do NOT want shingles!
