Handloading the Modern 7x57 " This is one reason the Serengeti will probably be my last 7x57." Seriously, no more love?

Actually sold the Serengeti this year.
But through a series of trades, ended up with a Ruger Hawkeye African in .275 Rigby. Dunno if that counts....

Oh sure, look forward to a report on how it shoots and the game you take with it.

I might also comment that one factor in gun writing is that sometimes readers and/r editors grow weary of reading about the same rifle.

I and many others enjoyed the pictures and reading about that rifle, a legend on the fire. The legend lives on! Rev. Mike owns the rifle and has been putting it to good use killing Florida hogs! Meanwhile the .275 Rigby is continuing the tradition ...just shot this Sika with it a few days ago... It has taken a host of big game animals....

There's also the Sauer drilling I purchased about a year ago, a 16x16/7x57R, with a 1.5- 6x Zeiss scope.

I can't imagine being with out a 7X57/275 Rigby. Currently down to three variations , a 7X57 AI, 275 Rigby both custom guns and a pre64 M70 carbine. I'm a week into deer season and haven't seen anything worth shooting....yet. To many rifles and not enough critters to use them on.

A few years back a friend was sorely wanting a 7x57 and wore me down to the point of selling my M70 Featherweight. I was regretting that decision almost as it was changing hands. He had it almost a year when he called and asked if I would like to buy it back. Without hesitation I replied a loud yes and so it will ever be!

I quess 7x57 is one of my favorites based on how many of them I've managed to acquire. I have two Ruger Number Ones,a model 70 XTR Featherweight, and a Brno 21 will a mannlicher stock.
I haven't hunted with any of them in a while but need to fix that. I don't have that many rifles in any other chambering.

Three 7x57s, and not discounting the possibility of a .275 Rigby. It would be interesting exploring the vast performance difference between the two. Inquiring minds and all that, you know.
