Applied 2 coats of mineral oil since pictures were taken - Looks even better now, really highlights the grain & knotty character !

Paul I still like those Canuck clothes lines! I'll explain for some of the folks.

The line is high off the ground to keep the laundry well above the deep snow drifts. You can see the pully on the far end.
The step, or deck end also has a pully. The wet clothes are hung on the line, and the empty line pulled in as the clothes go out closer to the far pully.

Local guy, customer of the shop, rough milled it (5/4ths), we planed & chamfered edges, prior to install.

Ended up with 4",5",6" & 8" widths x 8' lengths, made it tricky.
