Quite a few years back our local drug store was selling off of their sporting goods at 50% off. The $11 a brick .22 ammo was now $5.50 a brick. I asked someone if there was a limit and was told no so I bought every case they had. My poor Mazda was sitting very close to the ground on the way home! You would not believe how many of my "buddies" have tried to get me to sell it to them for what I paid for it. How funny is that?

I don't have as many as some of you but I have way more than I'll shoot over the next 4 years. BTW, that's when we'll see rimfire ammo again, right?
Thanks, Dinny

Time for Mule Deer to re-issue “ How to Beat the Rimfire Shortage”.
Maybe time to put the autos aside and get the single shots out. I can remember rationing ammo as a kid, watching the rows recede in the little yellow box......
What fresh Hell is this?

This is what stocking up looks like. I bought the Federal Bulk for $9.88 per 550 round box a few years ago. The problems we are having with ammo and primers are only going to get worse with time. I feel sorry for any kid who wants to become a Gun Nut when he grows up these days.

The brick of CCI Standard Velocity on GunBroker that I mentioned previously fetched 12 bids from seven bidders. Top bid: $160 With shipping thats exactly 35 cents a round. I have no response of substance.

I took down all of mine except the brick of CCI Quiet-22 that has already been bid up to $72 + 20 shipping and has almost 7 days to go.
I haven’t shot any of it, but it did not have good reports here.

I bought some of that during Obama Panic 1. Lots of misfires from the lots I have, and accuracy nothing to sing about. First in line for burning up out of handguns. Might be a fluke, but I never bought more after that. The Winny bulk was better, shot pretty well in a77/22 Target my son has.
CCI has been consistently reliable and decently accurate for me, so that’s what I buy in US .22 ammo.

I recently did a count of mine at 21K after finding this lost group of 7500 on the top shelf.

I started my stockpile during the Clinton regime. Gun folk should have gotten the clue then.

Hard to tell... I might be short on a few, but not overly worried.

I recently did a count of mine at 21K after finding this lost group of 7500 on the top shelf. 21k is nice, but the kids will shoot 500-1,000 per trip to the range. I've had to start limiting our time and leaving the 10/22's home. I usually did 2 case orders (10k rounds) and just replaced it as needed.

I bought my boys a ruger bearcat, takes some of the pain out of going through ammo. I've got a couple 10/22s torn apart right now so i imagine will go through some when I get them going.
