My pies need fruit, preferably berries or cherries.

I'm in on that. As long as I can drown the fruit in whip cream. smile

We always called it calf slobber as well. Grandma about cried every time I I’d take a slice and wipe the meringue off into the trash can. She eventually quit making meringue. “Can’t stand the thought of fighting to make that and you just throw it away”. Good memories.

Here’s another coconut based pie grandma did. “White Christmas Pie”. Google the recipe. She got here from a 1940s Betty Crocker (or Better Hones & Garden???) cookbook. It’s a lot of work. But it’s good. If the recipe doesn’t have almond extract in it, it’s wrong.

Even has fruit wink

My last check up said I'm pre-diabetic and really over weight. Do the math.

Pie? Someone say Pie?

Looks amazing.

Not much into sweets these days trying to watch the weight and keep from having the doc trying to plug another stent into me, but Pecan Pie has always been a weakness for me since my first taste of "Jack Daniels Pecan Pie" at Rock Springs Cafe in AZ some 30 years ago. Did up my first ever baking attempt last weekend as a trial run for some pies I wanted to make for Thanksgiving with family. The W and I are usually in charge of sweets, and wanted to do something a little extra this time.

Peanut butter whiskey and bacon pecan pie on the Traeger. This....one...is...a...do....again! Not bad at all for a first ever pie attempt!

Guns are responsible for killing as much as Rosie O'Donnel's fork is responsible for her being FAT.
