I saw lots of deer, but no bucks with nice enough, or unusual enough, antlers, so I punched that tag with a doe at last light on the last day of the 2020 firearms deer season.
Hunters Helping the Hungry got all of them, as we still have freezers full of beef from the cattle that we bought last spring when COVID first shut down the packing plants, leaving producers with cattle that were ready for market and no place to send them.

What part of state? At one time I was able to hunt a ranch South of Alliance out in sandhill country...we had some good hunts there.

Cedar Creek, about 20 miles south of Omaha .
The farm that I lease hunting privileges on is about 1 mile south of the Platte River. Saw lots of deer, small bucks and does, but none of the bucks were candidates for a trip to the taxidermist. I like to sit out in the quiet and watch the critters; squirrels eating corn that didn't go through the combine, a young coyote poking around the edge of a field looking for food, an opossum passing through the grove of old cottonwoods were my elevated stand is located. There are quite a few 'cats in the area, but I didn't see any.

Our north central Nebraska property near Ainsworth, NE didn't give up any bucks either. None were seen during 5 days of hunting our place. I took two does off in October and one in November. We saw one buck, an ear to ear wide, low profile 5x5, but not our place to hunt.
Still enjoyed the sights, sounds and smells of the hunt.

It's interesting how the populations cycle. That area is so loaded with deer, taking those 4 does sounds like a great move management-wise.
Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21. Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!

We donated one of our two deer last year to Hunters for the Hungry. Great program and very worthy cause.

We found a couple of average bucks this year. Had some larger ones on camera but not seen during the season.
