We have sand dunes by us that are used by rec orv's. I haven't been up there in 30 years, I used to just about live up there with my motorcycle, atv and jeep in the 80's.
We went up there yesterday hiking with the kid. Got the itch going. Was think a sxs for the dunes but I got a clean 96 z71 sitting in my back yard. 300,000 miles on it. Figure a new engine, tranny, 3-4" lift with some 33's. Would work fine plus it would make a good back up vehicle.
I told her it wasn't smart for me to go up to silver lake, she didn't listen....

If she is ike my wife , give her a few months to several years and she will come up with this fine idea...

Just where is this Silver Lake. Some of us might want to take a little trip that way. Maybe re-live our lost youth.

She would like driving the dunes Shes never driven in the dunes. Unfortunately her back is bad after 8 surgeries and a razr or can am would be great but she couldn't handle it. I figure fix up our truck. Summit has a crate 5.7l vortec with 370horse. Other small mods and it would be decent.
