I had forgotten about the Rajneeshes, but just watched an episode of Forensic Files about the “First BioTerror Attack In the USA.”

In 1984 they attempted election fraud through the use of Salmonella poisoning in The Dalles, Oregon. 700 people were infected but they failed to steal the election. Oregon had to pass stricter Voter Registration Laws following the attempt.
