Wednesday a Boy on a zoom class in Woodbridge, Ca took his own life, sounds like with a handgun. My 13 YO grandson lives about 8 blocks away, different school district and mine attends class, no distance learning.

Please say a prayer for our youth. News seems to be getting around about the depression distance learning is causing.

Sad day

My 15 year old loves distance learning. Sleeps till 830, wears pajamas to class. Watches the class repeatedly until she understands the subject. 20 years from now, high schools will be a memory.

A couple years ago I was at a wedding with the couple and four each bridesmaids and groomsmen. Some very strange things happened, and one of the groomsmen took his own life the night before the wedding. The wedding proceeded with few changes. As of last month the bridal party is now composed of the bride, the groom, and the best man. The other 7 have checked out by their own hands.

WOw, sad story

Anything related to the rumors some folks get depressed from where they live? I have always heard Washington state, due to overcast-rain has a higher suicide rate ( although currently I see other reasons for a certain class in Wa state to save the world of their beliefs and finish themselves)

Update
Inside scoop is the boy was offline when he shot himself, a sister in the next room was live on her classroom and responded hearing the shot. Some media initially said he was online and other kids witnessed it.

Sheriff's arrived , got him to the hospital and he lost the battle in the hospital, not at home. Can't fathom the sister's situation.
