So anyone been to Vegas lately? All of my gang has tested positive and shouldn't have concerns of catching or passing da-vid.....

I'm sure things aren't quite as hopping as normal there, and that's ok with me....but I'm wondering what's up and running. No desire for a go sit in the hotel room trip. Anyone been recently?

I was in Reno last week when I needed a break driving from Montana to California. I stopped at the Silver Legacy and it was a ghost town. Mostly hells angels and drug gang types, very little action at tables and almost all of the casino restaurants and bars were closed. It was nice for me, since I just needed a place to chill for a bit, but it was not why people go to reno, Tahoe or Vegas.

Thanks Remsen. The consideration of "Mostly hells angels and drug gang types" being the main folks out and about had not crossed my mind.

After a little research we've decided against it. Many of the things we'd like to see/do aren't an option so it's not worth the trip for us. There are some very good flight/room deals though.

My wife went on a girls trip a few months ago. Plenty of people. She said she could get high from the Mary Jane smoke just walking down the street. Don't guess I will ever go back just for that reason

Their economy is in the capper. Big time. But the hotel/casinos are ‘still’ charging ‘resort fees’ to come and stay there. lol

I was there in July. Was tough finding a place to eat outside of the hotel. I stayed at Ceasers and at 6:00 a.m. there were zero cars on the strip.
Shoulda been the starting of rush hour. Was very strange.

Was there the end of October, but we avoid the Strip and stay in Henderson. Just an overnight stop for us and we never visit casinos, but our name-brand hotel was next to empty and it was difficult to find anywhere to eat. Luckily, a little hole-in-wall Greek place we like was open for limited dine-in.

There seemed to be almost as much car traffic as always, but where they were all going is a mystery.
