I prefer not to. I’m pretty sure scotch and diesel fuel are one and the same.
Make mine bourbon. I agree 100% Scotch sucks Ditto.

I like Famous Grouse, and since Scotch snobs say since it's a blend it can't be ruined any more anyway, I have mine on the rocks.
But Friday is my Gibson night. Gin with pickled onions, dirty. Rocks again. I may join you on that Gibson Rocky.

I like decent blends. I’ve had some really smooth and flavorful blends too. This thread is about what each individual prefers, so there is no reason to get butthurt over different opinions on scotch.

I've tried, lord knows I've tried. Scotch is just too much bad stuff. I'm going to stick to scotch eggs. For drinks a standard well whiskey is best for me.

My experience has usually been that the hospitality far outweighs the hooch bering served (Bud Light excepted: no amount of hospitality can outweigh that crap). That being said, I'm always endeavoring to gain more experience. FC

Lapua posted this in the basement. How do you drink your scotch? On ice? With seltzer? Mixed? Or, like me, straight up with a little splash of water? Happy Friday Whore Mongers..... That’s an absolute shame. Neat for me. Maybe a drop of water depending on the dram

Ways to improve your scotch or bourbon: https://www.barrelsonline.com/black-hoop-oak-barrelsHas anyone tried aging what you buy, and and aging it some more in an oak barrel? I heard it really improves the smoothness and flavor. It would be interesting to try this aging technique.

Hendrick's Summer Solstice, Fever Tree Cucumber tonic ! Gimmicked up cucumber salad in a glass. Make mine clean and classic, Beefeater and regular tonic, twist of lime. It's all good, got the bases covered; A final though, that I know you agree with; Most people drink their beer & white wine too cold & their red wine to hot. Flavour profiles are changed markedly, by temperature. Cheers;
Paul.

I despise ice. But the big block brings out the flavor in good Scotch.
