Hey everybody,
I just recently saw one of the Henry Lever action .22's, they look like pretty nice little guns. Does anyone here have experience with them? What I really wanna know is if they are good quality?

Much plastic and pot metal, I would save my money for a Winchester 9422. I think the Henry's are a bit junky, the receiver is painted for crying out loud.

It depends what you want it for. I have one and it is great for screwing around and plinking. If you are a serious small game hunter I would save up for a Browning BL .22, a Winchester 9422, or the Marlin lever.

The cans that try to charge my defensive position don't have a chance.

Thanks for the info, i saw one the other day and i thought it looked like a nice little rifle. I was somewhat surprised to hear of the poor quality. I will go take a look at one a little closer and handle it some more b4 i make my decision. This would be more of a plinking gun, my marlin model 60 is my small game rifle.

For a plinker it is money well spent. By the way, I like Marlin Model 60s too.

I bought one of the Youth Models for the grandkids at a Turkey Federation auction. It is smooth and accurate. I was disappointed to find the receiver was painted instead of blue and that some of the parts are plastic.

I also bought a 94-22 at another Turkey Federation auction. The Henry was a whole LOT cheaper.

I have one of these, good medicine (bad for them) on squirrel. Decent trigger, smooth action, reliable. Priced accordingly in respect to the asthetics of it. I don't think they'll ever be collectable, but they are made to be used.
