Anyone shoot the 55gr Hornady HP? I see that all the usual suspects, Midway, Midsouth, Natchez, etc have them in bulk for not much money. I’ve never used any though I have used the 75 HP Hornady extensively with so so results. Just curious.

I have only used them in my .220 Swift but they worked great. I will admit that this gun would shoot just about anything into bugholes, and 35 grains of IMR 3031 with the 55 grain Hornady was a super combo. Deadly on prairie dogs.

I am most curious about how they’d work as a varmint bullet. They’d mostly be launched from 222 and 223 at coyotes, pigs, crows, that sort of stuff.

Well I know the 55 SP works on varmints and pigs out of a deuce....Im guessing the HP would too...
