IIRC I believe the occasion Gunner got shot he was driving by an altercation wherein a man was beating up a woman and stopped to intervene, he did so, successfully, despite getting shot.

I have the pleasure of knowing Hunter (Jerry) and Roger personally and can attest that they are both BAD MF's.
In a good way.
I don't know Sam Olsen personally, but my educated guess is that he is one too.
It's hard to define, but there is a certain mixture of confidence, kindness and don't GAF that identifies a real man.
