I copied this over from my post on the "Texas Republican Party Response" thread:

Awhile back, member JoeBob posted the following. I thought it was important enough to save, although I screwed up and didn't save the thread or the date. I think JoeBob might be onto something.

JoeBob
If I were governor of Texas I might schedule a press conference and announce that we believe that there is a substantial amount of fraud. I would announce that as governor I had a responsibility to my citizens to do what I could to make sure that their votes were not wasted because of rampant fraud committed in other states. Then I might announce that an Article V convention would convene in Austin at some future date within the next six months. I would invite all governors and legislatures who felt it necessary to rein in the federal government so that fraudulent elections wouldn’t impact their citizens so much to send delegates.

Something like that is a substantive step. It isn’t war. It isn’t secession. It isn’t crazy talk. It is a constitutionally valid process and a reasonable reaction to theft of an election.

But there are no Republicans with balls enough to even do something like that.

Edit to add: But I don't agree with JoeBob's last sentence, and I'm thinking he might be wrong about that part. I guess we'll see.
