Are you sure you're not from Western New York?
Ever stole an ambulance?
I thought General Stuart was from the South somewhere. Sure had some nice Smith's didn't he? Generalstuart lived in Knoxville, Tennessee IIRC he lived in the Five Fingers region of New York but stole the ambulance from a Knoxville hospital in an attempt to get home. Adventure is where you find it... And I just proved myself wrong. I re-read his ambulance tale and he was trying to get home to Knoxville. How you feeling, Longarm?

generalstuart was a regular here and his collection of Smith's was without peer. He would answer any question an aspiring aficionado would have and was always polite.
I most certainly found entertainment in his online meltdown but in hindsight I feel really bad for him.
I believe he was suffering from some form of accelerated dementia or Alzheimer's disease.

Got it's twin in my safe. It is like 40 years old now and I'm trying to keep it as pristine as possible. I have other .44 Mags but they get shot quite a bit and often with hot loads. When I shoot this one it is with medium load .44 Specials in it. One of my kids will thank me someday for doing that I hope.

LOL. Remember that? That guy had some nice S&W revolvers. What was his name? GeneralStewart? Guy ended up being Gunners half brother or something

Just received this today from a gentleman that posted this in the classifieds last week. 29-2 83/8 had this same model stolen from me 18 yrs. ago. Good to have a new one in the stable.

EdM: Great looking pistol you have there! Is it a Model 29 or a full lugged 357 of some model? TIA Hold into the wind VarmintGuy It's a M29-2, my first revolver, bought new in 1978. Originally an 8 3/8" piece that I had cut to 5" around 1985. Some years later (1994?) I noted a defect in the bore that looked like a small piece of the barrel was missing. I called S&W and they said to send it in. About a week later the 'smith assigned to the repair called and said indeed the barrel needed to be replaced but the only 5" barrels they had were the lugged ones with the replaceable front sight. I advised him to proceed with that barrel. The gun came back like new with two different blades. The best customer service I have ever experienced.

I was going to ask you about that front sight blade.
