If you haven't already, go to a chiropractor an ask them to do adjustments and ultrasound treatments. I had it bad in my right shoulder. Cortisone did nothing. Doc wanted to operate. Chiropractor did several treatments and it's been good for over 10 years.

If you’re getting shots it probably won’t work but a theraband flexbar wonders for the pain in my elbows/forearms.

Link to Theraband

Is it tennis elbow? If so, have you looked into ultrasound directed needle tenotomy?

Well, I don't play tennis, so lets call it lateral epicondylitis.

The ultrasound needle is new to me, not Familiar with it.

I had a jelly bean surgically removed from my nose once.

Serious? When is surgery not serious?

Both elbows shot. Been to Docs, PT, etc. Had plenty of shots in both.

Shots work for awhile. First 5 days after elbow(s) hurt. Next few weeks lots better. Then it comes back.

Went to a specialist. He will release (surgically cut the tendon) but recommends against. Says pain will eventually disappear. Tendon is shot and is likely nothing but mush anyway.

Naproxen helps. So does rest away from work.

Going to tolerate it for awhile longer. If it continues may opt for the surgery.

Wish I had a better outcome and could be more positive. Last few years have been rough for me dealing with this issue. Tough one.

Yes, you have what is commonly called "Tennis Elbow". I've had it off and on for years from swinging a framing hammer and it is painful. You really should look into ultrasound directed needle tenotomy and platelet-rich plasma therapy. Needle tenotomy is fairly new but the gold standard, from what I've been told. Problem is finding a doc who knows how to do it. Also, it is outpatient. Personally, I wouldn't let my doc cut me without trying these therapies and I'm a little surprised he has not recommended them.

Have had it in one elbow for 4 years. Can't do cortisone due to diabetes. It's now in my shoulder and wrist too. Kicking my ass. Gonna have to do something soon

PT and cortisone in my right elbow. It helped at first then it didn’t. Four surgeries over two years got my elbow back relatively pain free and most of my normal range of motion.

2 years here, it's tolerable for the most part but certain times I wonder why I put up with it,

I'm now seeing an elbow specialist, he feels confident surgery should improve things, the post surgery therapy is supposed to be critical, and intense.

Not looking forward to that.
