This footage looks like it could have been taken from the Megavalanch race. It’s a pretty grueling event that starts in the snow and goes down the mountain. It’s pretty much all out, technical and endurance oriented. The time for a win is in the 40-50 minute range. There is first person GoPro footage on YouTube. It’s worth scanning a video to see what it’s like.

Where do they find so many people willing to do something so stupid? Never underestimate the power of human stupidity. Far better to spend the day on the couch. The likelihood of debilitating injury is actually far higher, but the timeline is longer.
